Bright, light yellow. Deep, sexy scents of stone fruits, oatmeal, flowers and spices, plus hints of honey and orange peel; very complex and Burgundian. Plush, dense, concentrated and slightly glyceral, with the ripe stone fruit flavors supported by chalky energy and grip. Delivers terrific flavor intensity and saline depth for Argentine Chardonnay and finishes with excellent rising length.

Cooked-apple and lemon-rind aromas follow through to a full body, intense lime acidity and a long cream, flan undertone. Rich wine. Drink now.

Very few Argentinean winemakers are capable of making Chardonnays like this, but Pepe Galante is one of them. Using purchased grapes from Paraje Altamira, it’s a focused, aromatic, chalky delight that wouldn’t look out of place in a line up of Premier Cru Burgundies. Leesy, subtle and very long.
