Tasting
Notes |
April 2017 - The 2015 Paul Culver ‘Village’ Pinot Noir starts off with an engaging smoky top note that meshes with red cherry and a light herbal
underpinning on the nose. Medium bodied and lightly oaked, this is an elegant offering with a supple textural feel and a core of juicy
red berry and cherry fruit flavors with finer tuned tannins that make it accessible right out the gate. Showing well now this should drink
nicely over the next couple of years. |

91 pts Tim Atkin MW 2016
As in Burgundy, it’s always a good idea to judge a Pinot producer by the quality of its entry
point wine. This is the best release yet from the Cluvers, with deftly integrated 18% new
oak, fine tannins and more fruit sweetness and texture than the 2014 release. Wonderfully
drinkable. Drink: 2016-20 |
Winemaker Notes |
Beautiful aromas of red fruits intermingle with roasted spices followed by a delicious,
elegant silky palate of poached ripe plums resulting in medium bodied wine with soft edges.
Crafted for drinking now, it has the structure and fruit to be enjoyed for two years and
beyond. |
