Mud House

Mud House Pinot Noir 2017

Mud House Pinot Noir 2017 terrific value

Tasting Notes

The nose offers spice and light tea leaf notes to the dark cherry fruit aromatically. Medium fuller bodied this has good depth and fruit weight to the dark cherry and plum fruit flavors while the tannins are finer grained giving enough tension on the back end to bring this to a lengthy conclusion with a touch of spice chiming in as well. Although this is drinking beautifully as we speak this has the structure to show well for a good number of years. This is an exceptional value.

Food Accompaniments

Leg of lamb with garlic and rosemary, Slow roasted duck breast with lentil and apricot chutney sauce.

Awards, Reviews and other Notes

89 pts Wine Spectator 5/31/19
Plump cherry and plum flavors have pretty licorice and spice shadings in this red, with a muscular thread of tannins running through the center. Drink now through 2028.
