See Mohua wines we sell
Mohua is a family owned winery in the custody of the McLachlan family, which also owns Peregrine Winery. Mohua is much more than a second label of Peregrine, it is a distinct brand which targets a different sector of the market. The wines are priced to over deliver in quality but be wallet friendly enough to drink daily. These wines are made with passion and a desire for preserving the land for future generations. The focus is narrow with a Pinot Noir from Central Otago and a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. The family is committed to the conservation of the Mohua, an indigenous bird which has been threatened by predators which were introduced to New Zealand. The Mohua currently occupies only 5% of its original territory, and the winery makes financial contributions to the Department of Conservation in New Zealand with the goal of helping the Mohua make a comeback.
