Loud River Roaring Red 2009 from La Playa - blend of Carmenere (40%), Syrah (30%) & Petit Verdot (30%) out of Chile's Colchagua Valley
The Tinguiririca River (Indian for "Loud River") flows from high in the Andes mountains across Chile to the Pacific Ocean. In the spring, when the snow-capped peaks begin to melt, the placid stream becomes a raging torrent.
A full-bodied, powerful blend of spicy-fruity Carmenére, rich Syrah and peppery Petit Verdot. Expressive cherry and berry flavors, rich, ripe plums sparked with spices, pepper and tobacco.
