Lapostolle 'Cuvee Alexandre' Chardonnay 2015 Atalayas Vineyard - 94 pts James Suckling - Best Chardonnay in Chile? |
Tasting
Notes |
2/5/19
This wine is now in its sweet spot. The oak is nicely integrated into the fruit giving a suggestion of a light buttered toast top note over dried peach, baked yellow apple and pear with a touch of citrus aromatically. The palate has a round, slightly creamy texture enlivened with good acidity, with flavors of white orchard fruit and citrus with spice and subtle minerality on the impressive finish. Layered and complex, this really is an impressive Chardonnay that represents excellent value. Showing well as we speak this should drink beautifully over the next couple of years. |
