This bright white features a vivid acidity and tangy peach, lemon and green apple flavors, joined by a touch of grapefruit peel on the finish. Drink now.

The 2011 Sauvignon Blanc gives notes of lemon peel, chopped herbs, white blossoms and green apples with a touch of chalk. The medium bodied palate has a great intensity of fresh, racy flavors while maintaining elegance. It finishes with very good persistence. Drink it now through 2014.

Pale yellow. Musky aromas of grapefruit pith and pepper lifted by limestone, with a subtle vegetal nuance contributing complexity. Rich, ripe and round but firm, thanks to solid underlying minerality. Nicely concentrated, smooth sauvignon with a long, gripping finish. (A second bottle, which I rated 87, was equally rich and concentrated but showed a considerably more pungent vegetal component.)
