Awards, Reviews and other Notes

90 pts Tanzer/Vinous
(aged in French and American oak barrels of various size, 10% of them new): Glass staining ruby. Ripe cherry and blackberry aromas show very good energy and an enlivening jolt of peppery spices. Plush and seamless on the palate, conveying real power to its black and blue fruit, lavender pastille and white pepper flavors. Finishes broad and fleshy, with repeating spiciness, velvety tannins and strong persistence. This wine has the balance to reward patience but is also pretty appealing right now.

A motor of assorted red and black berry flavours jumps quickly to life and then hums cleanly through to a satisfying finish.

88 pts James Suckling
A straightforward red with plum and berry character. Medium body, fresh fruit and a spicy finish. Drink now. A blend of shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and malbec.

88 pts Wine Spectator
A fresh tomato leaf note adds an appealing, peppery edge to this wine, with plum and cherry flavors at the core and plenty of spice on the finish. Tannins are present, but not distracting. Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. Drink now through 2027. 8,000 cases made. –MW
