Apaltagua Carmenere Rose 2011

Apaltagua Carmenere Rose 2011 impressive...

Tasting Notes

A light pink, pale salmon with a slight orange tint in color. This has a nose that is slightly floral and lightly spicy aromatically with lighter red berry fruits. The color somewhat fools you as it makes one believe this will not have the depth in flavor or weight that it has. The 13.5% alcohol gives it some body and nice viscosity, while the wine’s acidity gives drive and crispness to the tightly wound red berry fruits of raspberry and strawberry. Clean, precise and dry with nice mid palate flesh, this has good length and is really something that can match up with all kinds of foods, or is a great aperitif on its own. This is almost too easy to drink and once you open the bottle, good luck not finishing it. This is simply delicious…

Light pink in color and super fresh smelling. This is punchy up front, with red-berry and citrus scents. Feels zesty, crisp and steely, with tangy citrus flavors followed by a long finish that’s refreshing and cleansing. Really nice for affordable Chilean rosé.
