Antucura Winery is the “little jewel” of the Uco Valley, located at the foot of the Andes Mountains in the town of Vista Flores. Thanks to the unique characteristics of soil and temperature, this region has been established as the "new region for production of fine grapes".
Thanks to stony soils and wide temperature range between day and night, Antucura’s grapes develop intense varietal characteristics which support the elegance of its wines.
We have established high density planting of 5.500 plants per hectare and are able to control and monitor the production of each grape variety.
Our Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot plants were purchased from a nursery in Pomerol that supplies Petrus and other great chateaux of the region.
Antucura offers a wide range of varieties to produce their blends, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Petit Verdot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc and Pinot Noir. We use a selection of only the best grapes of our 100 hectares planted.
Antucura became known for its blends of Grand Vin, Calcura and La Folie which emulate the wines of Pomerol in a warmer climate and have recently added varietals: Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Antucura Chérie sparkling rosé 100% Pinot Noir. Each label displays our “sun stone” the icon which makes our vineyards unique.
Our work is based on constant care and control. From the vineyard to final production, every step in the process is managed to the smallest detail.
Our French winemaker Hervé Chagneau and owner Anne-Caroline Biancheri have created a great synergy blending the special attributes of the Andes terroir with the classic French wine-making giving a sense of place and elegance to our wines.
In the publishing division of Antucura we work in the education of wine culture through our books inspired by the Argentine terroir and tradition; furthermore we help to discover the wonderful world of Argentine wine through our hotel located in the heart of our land at the foot of the Andes.
