Albamar Pinot Noir 2016

Albamar Pinot Noir 2016 hard to beat this quality for under $10 - serious value

Tasting Notes

November 2019
One of the better under $10 calls for a Pinot we have tried in awhile. Casablanca fruit with a spicy edge, tea leaf, mint and herbs initially on nose with darker cherry and strawberry and forest floor aromatically. Medium bodied, sleek yet concentrated with abundant red fruit and darker red fruit in the mid palate, tannins folded in nicely and well integrated into fruit, with enough tug on back end to show well for several more years. We worked this for 3 days; lots of wine for the money.

Food Accompaniments

Turkey and all the fixings, duck, salmon, pork, mushroom dishes

Winemaker Notes

This Pinot is cherry red with ruby tints, translucent and bright. On the nose, it offers notes of red fruits (especially strawberries), black tea, graphite and earth. It is medium-bodied on the palate, showing delicate and round tannins followed by a long finish.
