There’s a fuchsia tinge around the edges of the glass that hints at juicy fruit to come, and the aromas of blackberry, coffee, and dark chocolate beckon as well. It’s tad aggressive in the mouth, though, with the slightly grainy feel so common in Mendoza bonarda, and the bitterness hinted at by the bouquet is present throughout. Pairs well with strong-flavored foods – think pesto with lots of garlic!
