Yalumba 'The Scribbler' 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon/Shiraz - a classic Aussie blend
Tasting
Notes
1/10
Nicknamed the mini Signature, a blend of nearly two-thirds Cabernet Sauvignon with Shiraz filling out the blend, this hits all the right notes. A great price point along with exceptional fruit generosity and a voluptuous texture, this more importantly has the structure to offer a wine that over delivers in terms of both quality and value. Lots high pitched red fruit flavors, cherry, plum and raspberry are highlighted with some compelling spice notes. The fruits juiciness is countered perfectly by fine grained tannins on the finish. Drinking deliciously right now this should show impressively over the next 2-3 years.

This lively wine offers layers of cherry, raspberry, tobacco and mint flavors mingling nicely as the finish skids over fine tannins. Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz. Drink now through 2015
