Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 out of Coonawarra - simply outstanding value for the money - great 6 bottle deal
Tasting
Notes
8/31/07 Wynns Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 is a tremendous example of a Coonawarra Cabernet with its sweeter cassis and blackberry fruit etched nicely with some cedar spice, mint and nicely supportive earth characteristics. Refined yet possessing some serious fruit intensity this shows a lot of personality and bang for the buck. Finding a Cabernet that drinks this good at this price isn’t an easy thing to do and we beg to find one with this much personality from anywhere. A tremendous buy that should really drink spot on over the next 5-6 years

Dark red. Smoky redcurrant and cherry aromas are accented by gentle mint, tobacco and camphor. Fresh and spicy, with medium body and tangy red fruit flavors firmed by youthful tannins. Crisp and energetic on the focused, persistent finish. This is an outstanding value in cabernet and it's widely available to boot. 89 pts Wine Spectator 10/15/07
Earthy, meaty notes add unexpected dimensions to the blackberry and currant fruit at the core. Finishes with a savory edge that lets the fruit sing. Drink now through 2014.
