70% shiraz and 30% cabernet sauvignon) Deep red. Spicy redcurrant and cherry aromas are complicated by cedar, tobacco, dried violet and minerals. Restrained red and dark berry flavors show a chewy texture and subtle vanilla, floral pastille and anise qualities. Gains sweetness on the long, spicy, gently tannic finish. Good complexity makes this a candidate for near-term drinking.
