This has a nice mix of dark, lush fig and black currant fruit laced with hints of olive, tobacco and iron. The lingering finish lets a smoky hint play out nicely, with a silky mouthfeel. Syrah, Mourvèdre, Touriga Nacional, Trincadeira and Cabernet Sauvignon. 91 pts Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, Mar/Apr 2011
(42% shiraz, 26% mourvedre, 21% touriga nacional, 10% trincadeira and 1% cabernet sauvignon): Deep ruby-red. Comples nose offers aromas of blueberry, tobacco, flint, dark chocolate and dusty stone. Glyceral and lush, with sweet berry fruit complicated by notes of smoke and pepper. More harmonious than the 2008 release and more complex today. Finishes with considerable spicy, dusty tannins and hints of honey and blueberry.
