94 pts Wine Advocate issue #209 Oct 2013
The 2012 Reserve White has a slightly more citrus-driven bouquet than the 2011 with hints of yellow plum, lemongrass and apricot blossom that is very well-defined. The palate is well-balanced with a wonderful waxy-textured opening. There are subtle notes of dried pineapple and quince, again that almost honeyed finish that is very alluring. Superb! Drink 2014-2020. 92 pts Wine Spectator 8/31/14
A lovely toasted hint leads the way, with warm lemon curd, chamomile, honeysuckle, straw and yellow apple notes all woven together. Offers a long, alluring, paraffin-tinged finish. A beauty. Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now. 1,000 cases made.
This is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc that comes from a single vineyard on the farm. Things are done as naturally as possible including whole bunch pressing and wild yeast fermentation. The 12 months of lees aging give the wine a broader creamier mouthfeel. The palate is very complex giving honey, citrus and hints of minerality on the finish. Not your father's Sauvignon Blanc.
