The Wine Spectator 89 points
Dry and steely with bracing lime, lime flowers and green pear character, finishing with focus and length. Needs seafood.
88+ pts Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar (JR) Light green-gold. Pungent pear and apple aromas are underscored by dusty mineral and white flowers. Juicy and pliant, with open-knit orchard fruit and melon flavors and a subtle citrus note on the back. Softer than most Clare rieslings, with good finishing sweetness.
87+ pts Robert Parker Jr.’s The Wine Advocate (JM) Also tasted and recommended, but no tasting note given.
Winemaker Notes
Single vineyard source. Estate grown. Early morning pick to arrive at winery cool. Immediate destem crushing and only free run to final wine. Cooled fermentation over 4 weeks. Sweetness adjusted with non fermented juice sterile filtered and packaged in Stelvin closure.
