(a 70/30 blend): Very pale, greenish color. Pungent yet subtle aromas of gooseberry, white peach, white pepper and flowers, with a waxy semillon suggestion and a building pineapple quality. Enters the mouth dense and slightly sweet, then turns quite dry and tactile on the back half, displaying flavors of stone fruits and ginger. Rather closed in the way of a young white Graves. Not yet expressive but finishes with sneaky persistence and gains in pineappley sweetness with aeration. More complex and animated than most New Zealand sauvignons.
