Langhorne Creek at it's finest, soft tannins, silky textured and open knit this is simply delicious.
Tasting
Notes
The nose gives the impression of restraint but this is after all from the Langhorne Creek area and therefore contrary to upfront initial impressions this has that soft, round mouth feel that one expects from the area along with super fine-grained tannins. With a little airtime it really starts to open up displaying notes of black plum, black berry, mint, and subtle spice/brown sugar/chocolate and confectionary characters on the nose. The palate is quite expansive and broad with concentrated fruit flavors of plum, black berry and licorice and a rich, dusty chocolate endnote to the finish. A wine like this makes it quite evident why everyone wants high quality Langhorne Creek fruit. What's there not to like? Soft tannins, silky textured with copious amounts of mouth filling, spicy, ripe fruits make this hard to resist.
