Kangarilla Road Shiraz Viognier 2007 exceptional value - drinking beautifully

Notes
5/3/10
A blend of predominantly Shiraz with a small percentage of Viognier, only 800 six packs of this McLaren Vale beauty were produced and the quality is quite apparent right from the first whiff. Combining both savory notes of subtle toast and black pepper with a core of engaging dark plum and blueberry fruit accentuated with a white stone fruit top note, this has a fuller bodied weight with finer grained tannins and an exceptional, long dry finish. With a bit of air time this really fleshes out with the dark fruit playing out beautifully against the savory background notes. This is just coming into its own and should show well over the next 4-5 years.
