Joffre Grand Chardonnay 2009 all about clean precise fruit with great drive and a touch of roundness in the palate

Notes
July 2012
This shows beautiful fruit purity with the lightest touch of oak that makes us think of a well made Chardonnay from southern Burgundy. This was given no malo-lactic fermentation so this has a racy edge, but extended lees aging has given this a slightly discernible touch of creaminess. Bright lifted pear and citrus tones gives freshness that brings this altogether perfectly. This has just the right amount of richness to work on its own, but the fruit purity and acidity gives cut making it perfect for all kinds of lighter food.
