NV Jansz Brut Rose Sparkling Wine delicate, clean with subtle red berry aromas and flavors
Tasting
Notes
October 2012
When it comes to sparkling wines, Roses are regarded as the Crème de la Crème, considered the drink of choice for aficionados of sparkling wines. The flavors of delicate red fruits add an extra dimension that most sparklers don’t possess. Most Rose sparkling wines made in the Methode Champenoise style are much more expensive than their clear counterparts and justifiably so. When well made they are an absolute delight and truly can be enjoyed at anytime with anything.
Jansz is a sparkling wine specialist out of the cool climate state of Tasmania. Jansz only produces sparkling wines in the traditional Champagne style. For the money the quality of sparklers they produce are outstanding in not only price but quality as well. The NV Rose has been around in our market for a few years now and our customers have figured out this represents great value and it is absolutely a beauty. If you love Rose bubbly then this is something that should be given consideration. Delicate red fruits with a faint hint of spice come forth through a tight, small bead pattern. Clean, crisp and embodied with a round texture this is quite vibrant and refreshing with lingering strawberry and watermelon fruit on the finish.

Crisp and flavorful, but nicely rounded, showing no sharp edges to the pear, watermelon and spice flavors. Deft finish. Drink now.
