What really caught our attention regarding this wine was how finely tuned and precise the fruit was for something that comes in around 12% alcohol. The nose combines lime/citrus fruit with a nice floral lift. There is a delicate side to the wine in the palate playing toward a German Troken Spatlese. Lime and crunchy green apple along with some spiny mineral notes on a medium weight frame in the palate offers up a surprising palate presence, in spite of its lower alcohol, leading to a dry lingering finish. This has exceptional food diversity and in light of its lower alcohol this is a great go to wine for the warmer months ahead.
