Tasting
Notes
2/10/12 Made only in the best years when the vintage conditions are just right, this was disgorged after 5 years on lees, and given zero dosage (no sugar was added), hence the name ‘Zero Dosage’. Composed of 85% Chardonnay and 15% Pinot Noir, this is quite dry, actually bone dry, with some chalky mineral notes to the brioche, green apple, citrus tones on the nose that flow into the palate. Showcasing excellent fruit purity, this has a tight bead pattern along with a creaminess that caresses the palate and good carrying acidity that focuses and drives the fruit. This has more flesh and is not as austere and bony as some of the French counter parts we have tried. This is the perfect aperitif or something to have with lighter foods, especially shell fish and crustaceans.

Four Stars Platter Guide 2012 "Chardonnay, 15% pinot in impressive 2005 disgorged after 5 years on lees. Subtle, pure and bone dry with fragile oystershell nuances, demonstrating cellarmaster's light tough. Only in best years"
