We were very impressed by this wine, in particular its aromatic profile. A floral lift, think of lilacs, cardamom and then a slight peppery edge to the bright red fruit tones of raspberry and red plums keeps your nose pinned to the glass.
Medium fuller bodied, the fruit has a precision in the palate that makes the raspberry and red plum flavors sing with their purity and drive. This shows a more Euro slant in terms of restraint and lower alcohol, without sacrificing any of its fruits vibrancy. Lots of engaging, vibrant, clean fruit along with sleeker, finer grained tannins make this an exceptional food wine.
