We don’t always look to Argentina for Sauvignon Blanc, but in reality why wouldn’t they be able to make decent Sauvies? This in light of its modest price point makes for an exceptional value. Even with a few years under it, this hasn’t lost a beat. The nose is quite varietal with notes of grapefruit, and citrus, lemon sorbet and a grassy, herbal component, almost bringing tarragon to mind, aromatically. The palate is clean and crisp with driving acidity on its medium weight frame, with citrus lemon flavors and a touch of herbs to add a little extra nuance. This should drink nicely over the next couple of years. If you want something that has great versatility then this would be a great go to white for the warmer months just in front of us. This has value written all over it.
