We are betting that if this bottle of wine would have been reviewed in the latest Wine Advocate which did a review of the wines of Chile, this would have been a huge hit. When compared with some other high scoring Carmenere, which were in the mid 90 pt range, this has everything to match those numbers. Inky, light capturing dark black purple in color the visuals say this is one seriously concentrated wine. Although it has the varietals herbal cast there are no green edges, just lots of dense, almost tarry, earthy terroir driven notes that fold beautifully into the dark fruit of cassis and blackberry with some integrated toast notes as well. Fuller bodied with expansive, layers of dark fruit supported by firmer but well proportioned tannins, this has exceptional length with a finish that just rolls on and on. For the money this is simply outstanding. Drink it over the next 5-6 years.

Rich, with dark loam, currant and coffee flavors that ride along fine-grained tannins. The plush, smoky finish shows a tobacco twinge.
