When the winemaker and importer of this family-owned Chilean producer popped through our shop one recent afternoon, we tasted through their line-up and this little cold-climate Syrah stood head and shoulders above the rest of the good to great wines from De Martino. Rich and complex with deep red fruit accented by white pepper, cedar, saddle leather, tobacco, tar, smoked meats, mint & flower water. Drinks like a good St. Joseph at a fraction of the cost.

Juicy and focused, with ripe blackberry and raspberry fruit backed by nice hints of tobacco, tar and violet. Very tasty. Drink now.
