Last years version of the 20 Barrels Merlot was a real beauty but this may be even better. A quintessential Merlot from Chile, plump and plush with ripe dark plum fruit this is fuller bodied with harmonious tannins that give structure without too much firmness, leading into a lovely tailored finish. Great drive and length makes this drink way above its price point. This has class written all over it and should drink fabulously over the next 3-4 years

Cono Sur 20 Barrels Limited Edition Merlot 2006 was the only Chilean Merlot to receive the highest awards, both a Gold Medal and a Chilean Red Trophy at the “International Wine Challenge 2008”.
