It’s been said that some of the finest Grenache coming out of Australia, maybe the world, comes from Mclaren Vale. James Halliday rated this as one of the ‘Best of the Best’ in his 2010 Australian Wine Companion giving it a 95 pt review. This has that wow factor going on, with spicy and vibrant red fruit in abundance, the palate has clinging intensity making for an exceptional bottle of wine. It’s not a goo bomb but something with impeccable balance and structure. Showing well now this should hold up nicely over the next 2-3 years.

95 pts James Halliday Australian Wine Companion 2011 'Best of the Best'
Vibrant hue; a generous offering of sweet red fruits, supported by a touch of Provencal herbs for complexity; very fleshy mid-palate, there is real depth to the fruit in this wine, signing off with a slight savoury finish; classic. Screwcap. Drink 2015. 92 pts Wine Spectator Insider 4/27/2011
Broad, rich and expressive, offering a big mouthful of ripe cherry, plum and earthy spice flavors that linger on the polished, focused, open-textured finish. Drink now through 2016.
