This is more about restraint with a suggestion of new oak but in a very complimentary, balanced approach. The nose offers a slight toasted component over riper apple, some tropical nuance and a definitive citrus, subtle lime lift – lots of cool climate white tree fruit and citrus with just a touch of tropical fruit with a soft toast note aromatically. The nose is quite enticing, youthful and vibrant showcasing good fruit purity without any detracting nuances that get in the way of the fruit clarity.
Slightly creamy and buttery, medium to medium-fuller bodied with cool climate, high elevation acidity, this has a nice layered palate with delicious, vibrant flavors of lime and ripe apple fruit shaded with a subtle integrated vanilla component that really compliments the wines fruit purity with an additional nuance of minerals adding complexity. Another very well made wine this works completely away from big, rounded mouth feel and pronounced butter influence and over the top fruit towards precision and elegance. This exudes style and restraint without sacrificing any flavor. Outstanding with some good mid term aging potential this is simply delicious with its beautiful integration of wood and fruit harmony.
