This may be one of the best Chocolate Blocks we have tried to date. The nose has a lightly spiced lift to the dark plum and dark red berry fruits with a complimentary touch of herb underneath. Medium fuller bodied with a sleek, supple mouth feel, the lighter tannins meld perfectly into the riper dark plum flavors. Not big shouldered, this still has some serious depth to the fruit and excellent cling time to its finish. This is a very polished wine with tons of personality and something that is hard not to like with its engaging fruit purity.
