Awards, Reviews and other Notes

89 pts Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar (JR)
Deep red. Cherry-vanilla and baking spices on the nose, with bright floral and mineral notes adding energy. Broad and lush, offering creamy dark berry and cherry flavors and supple tannins. Finishes soft and persistent. This sappy, generous shiraz is ready to drink.

87 pts Robert Parker Jr.’s The Wine Advocate (JM)
The purple-colored 2006 Bremerview Shiraz was aged for 12 months in a mix of new and used 300-liter American oak hogsheads. It offers an attractive bouquet of cedar, game, blackberry, and blueberry leading to a medium to full-bodied wine with ample ripe fruit, a supple palate-feel, and good length. Drink it over the next four years.

Winemaker Notes

Machine picked fruit, 6 day ferment on skins, pumped over twice daily for 30 minutes. Malolactic fermentation undertaken. Blended and oak matured for 12 months.
