b>94 pts James Halliday Wine Companion 2008 Strong colour, clear red-purple; equally strong palate structure; masses of blackcurrant and cassis fruit; soft tannins typical of the region.

The 2004 Frank Potts Proprietary Red is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Malbec, and 15% Petit Verdot. This cuvee spent 18 months in French and American wood, which is evident in the noticeable wood component. Nevertheless, it is an outstanding effort displaying notions of soy, vanillin, black currants, mint, and blackberries in its rich, full-bodied, tannic personality. It should last 10-12 years at a minimum.
