4 Stars - John Platter Wine Guide 2007
Built on sleeky powerful lines, rich cassis, plum fruit reined in by fine, beautifully judged tannins: a class act.
89 pts - Stephen Tanzer International Wine Cellar Bright ruby-red. Aromas of plum, spicecake, leather and truffle show an almost candied ripeness. Very ripe, juicy and penetrating, with intense flavors of dark berries and spice nicely supported by oak. Deeper and more generous than the shiraz and merlot bottlings. Finishes firmly tannic, bright and long.
88 pts Wine Spectator Issue May 15, 2007 Very solid, with winey currant and blackberry fruit backed by notes of grilled herb, briar, tobacco and mineral. The finish is juicy. |
