Reviews and other Notes |
91pts, Wine & Spirits, Oct. 2005 "Black pepper scents emphasize the tarry tannins of this wine, as plentiful as the juicy cherry flavor. The structure is well delineated rather than thick. And the wine feels Aussie in its gumtree scents, finishing clean and stylish. Decant a bottle for grilled lamb with rosemary."
90pts Robert Parker, Jr., The Wine Advocate, #155 " A blend of 90% Shiraz and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec aged in two-thirds American and one-third French oak, the 2002 Shiraz exhibits a deep ruby/purple color as well as a lovely nose of black fruits and pepper. An opulent texture, beautiful purity, and a surprisingly elegant yet powerful, intense style, it is a more terroir-driven offering that should drink well for 7-10 years. However, it is no shy wine at 14.9% alcohol." |
