A few months back this got some very good press and this shows the progress that Chile has been making with their Chardonnay in particular. This has noted richness in the palate with highlighting acidity that keeps this wine’s ripe fruit bright and lifted. Mineral notes give definition as well as a dry cast to the fruit on the finish. Clean and dry yet rich with a round mid palate texture this plays a fine tuned balancing act that lets the fruit shine without becoming cloying, the result of good acidity to balance the round, creamy mid palate. A New World style with good restraint and balanced with an exceptional finish, this will impress those who want richness in their Chardonnay without being over the top.

A big-time effort for Arboleda. The wine hits with copious but balanced wood, which creates a strong blast of popcorn on the nose. The mouthfeel is sturdy and intense, with nectarine, honey and toast flavors.
