Reviews and other Notes
88 pts Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar, May/June 2011 a blend of 30% cabernet franc, 27% cabernet sauvignon, 24% merlot, 11% syrah, 6% petit verdot and 2% carmenere) Deep ruby. Perfumed nose evokes medicinal red berries and cherry, dried flowers and spices. Taut but also a bit brooding on the palate; aeration brings up sweetness and an element of candied licorice. Finishes with silky tannins, sweet red fruit qualities and a hint of herbs. This will be very flexible at the table.
