Angulo Innocenti Cabernet Sauvignon 2010 from La Consulta, Mendoza - serious value
Tasting
Notes
2/1/12
Almost every red wine drinker we know is on the lookout for good Cabernet that offers value and this one has it in spades. A new label in our market, Angulo Innocenti is made by one of our favorite winemaker’s, Karim Mussi, of Alto Cedro fame. This has classic cassis fruit with good depth and breadth across the palate, the fruit plump and juicy, the tannins ripe and finer grained. This is pretty much user friendly out the gate with its engaging fruit but it’s got enough structure for some short term aging as well. Hard not to like this one…

The two wines from Angulo Innocenti are outstanding values. The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon features savory cassis and blackberry fruit, a smooth texture, and excellent length. It, too, is likely to provide pleasure through 2018+.
