Only around 700 cases of this textbook Malbec were produced. Like its sibling Cabernet Sauvignon, this has tremendous fruit purity, with minimal wood influence, only 6 months in new French oak. The color is deep and light capturing which gives it exceptional visual appeal. The palate has a heady perfume of sweet assorted black fruits, mulberry, blackberry, currant and plum with an undercurrent of spice and briar. The palate is simply delicious, with the sweet fruits of the nose coming across the in waves, notably black plums and blackberries, vibrant and expansive and just kissed with enough wood spice for nuance with a perfect tannin structure that keeps everything in balance. This is a really classy wine that has a nice supple texture, with good palate weight, putting emphasis on balance and vibrant fruit purity. |

Slightly firm, with red currant and raspberry fruit giving way to floral, mocha and spice notes on the finish. Better than previously reviewed. Drink now. 700 cases made. |
